A little bit about me....

Growing up in Pasadena, California, I developed a passion for learning and giving back and a strong appreciation of the outdoors. Over time, this passion manifested as a pursuit of academic excellence, engagement with philanthropies and community service, and involvement with scouting. As somewhat of a combination of my interests, I took on an avid interest in the energy industry, focusing my high school senior thesis on nuclear energy and joining the Global Energy Focus Cluster upon my admission to Duke University.

After graduating from Flintridge Preparatory School, I was eager to begin my journey as a mechanical engineer at Duke University, find new ways to engage with my community in Durham, NC, and explore my academic passions. In addition to my campus and community involvement, I could supplement my interest in community impact by adding a public policy degree.

My professional interests lie in the energy industry/sustainable practices and the intersection between technology and policy in how it impacts individuals' lives. In the future, I plan to pursue further education through law school or alternative professional degrees and work to expand and improve the energy industry to foster new technologies while addressing climate concerns and the economic effects of energy prices on individuals.
